Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2016-2018, The Blackdown Hills AONB and East Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV359463.

Parallel linear earthwork banks, circa 3 metres in width, are visible on aerial photographs taken between 1948 and 1976. The area is depicted as a plot of orchard on the late-19th century mapping and the cross-contour orientation is indicative of tree planting banks of post-medieval or 19th century date. Fruit trees seem to survive in 1976, suggesting that use as an orchard ceased in the second part of the 20th century. The area is now a large pond, and the earthworks have probably been removed.
