A possible former field boundary of between medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork bank on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the north of Pearcross Farm. The possible boundary is L-shaped in plan, east to west and northeast to southwest aligned and is situated on moderate southeast facing slope. The earthwork appears to form the northwest corner of a possible land parcel. The Parish Tithe map appears to be un-surveyed here, so it is not possible to determine whether this field boundary was extant by this time, although it does appear to have passed out of use by the time of the First Edition Ordnance Survey map. The Historic Landscape Characterisation project has classified this area as comprising ‘medieval enclosures based on strip fields’. An additional field boundary was visible to the immediate south, although was not transcribed during the survey since it is depicted on historic maps.
