Visited September 1969. Grass covered. Diameter 18 paces, height 2 feet.

Visited 7th November1978. Ploughed down barrow in an arable field. Diameter 24 metres, height 0.8 metre. No ditch.


Devon Committee for Rescue Archaeology, 1979 - 1981, North Devon Barrow Survey, DCRA ND104 (Archive - Survey). SDV341310.

Visited 29th November 1979. Diameter 24.1 metres, height 0.68 metre. Low mound in pasture, recently ploughed. Tends to merge into slopes making measurement difficult. Rather irregular surface. No visible ditch. Fair condition.

Visited 15th July 1997. Bowl barrow 686 metres north-north-east of Moorfield. Slightly oval mound, 24.1 metres north-east to south-west by 22.1 metres, 0.8 metre high. Surrounding ditch survives as buried feature.

A bowl barrow in an elevated upland location, overlooking a tributary of the Mussel Brook.
Survives as a slightly oval mound 24.1 metres long from north-east to south-west by 22.1 metres wide from north-west to south-east and 0.8 metre high. Surrounding ditch survives as a buried feature 2.5 metres wide.
