Parallel linear earthwork banks, circa 4 metres in width, are visible on aerial photographs taken from the 1940s onwards and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. Their broadly cross-contour orientation is indicative of post-medieval or 19th century tree planting banks and the area is depicted as orchard on the available historic mapping. No trees were visible on the 1940s aerial photographs and the plot may have ceased use as an orchard in the early-19th century.
