Summary

Earthwork banks of a possible medieval to 19th century field boundary are visible on aerial photographs of 1950 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the east of Bowerwood Farm. The field boundary is not depicted on the Parish Tithe map of 1838-48, so had evidently passed out of use by this time.

Earthwork banks of a possible medieval to 19th century field boundary are visible on aerial photographs of 1950 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the east of Bowerwood Farm. The two sections of earthwork banks appear to form part of a single linear east to west aligned field boundary situated on gentle to moderate south facing slope. The field boundary is not depicted on the Parish Tithe map of 1838-48, so had evidently passed out of use by this time.
