Three earthwork mounds of possible prehistoric burial mounds are visible on digital images derived from lidar images captured in 2016, to the east of Devon and Somerset Gliding Club. The adjacent sub-oval shaped earthworks measure between 8m to 11m in length and are situated on fairly level land, along the edge of a steep south sloping scarp. The earthwork mounds, which are located approximately 40m to the northwest of a probable prehistoric enclosure (MDV117572), have been tentatively interpreted as barrows, although it is also possible they are the product of waste material derived from extractive workings. As such, they have been grouped together under one monument record, pending further field investigation.
