Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2016-2018, The Blackdown Hills AONB and East Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV359463.

A possible pre-enclosure trackway, potentially of medieval to post-medieval date, is visible as a series of cropmark channels on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards and as earthwork channels on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the northeast of Woodlands Farm. The short section of former trackway measures approximately 230m in length, is northeast to southwest aligned and comprises a series of hollows, up to 7m in width. The trackway crosses unenclosed land of probable common land as shown on the Parish Tithe map (plot 373). By the time of the First Edition Ordnance Survey map, however, this area of common land has been enclosed, suggesting the trackway likely pre-dates the latter 19th century.
