Bluesky International, 2016, LiDAR DTM data (0.5m resolution) Blackdown Hills and East Devon AONBs: 3 transects, LIDAR ST1109 Bluesky International DTM 05-MAY-2016 & 27-JUN-2016 (Cartographic). SDV359714.
The possible extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

A possible extraction pit of likely post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the west of Lower Northcott Farm. The sub oval shaped earthwork measures approximately 25m in length by 21m in width. The visible earthworks do not correspond with any pit features depicted in this location on the available 19th century mapping. This supports the interpretation that the extractive pit had passed out of use prior to the mid-to-late 19th century.
