Bluesky International, 2016, LiDAR DTM data (0.5m resolution) Blackdown Hills and East Devon AONBs: 3 transects, LIDAR ST1209 Bluesky International DTM 05-MAY-2016 (Cartographic). SDV359714.
The extraction pits are visible as earthwork pits.

Possible post-medieval to 19th century extraction pits are visible as three earthwork pits on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, on moderate east facing slope to the east of Higher Northcott. The possible extraction pits vary from irregular to sub-oval in shape and measure between 20m to 57m in length. They are not clearly visible on aerial photographs or other digital images made available to the survey owing to tree cover here.
