A former field boundary of between medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork bank and ditch feature on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2014 and from lidar data captured in 2016, to the west of Penn Copse. The earthworks comprise a single linear northeast to southwest aligned bank, flanked by a ditch along its southeast side. The digital parish tithe mosaic is incomplete here, so it is not possible to determine whether this field boundary was extant by this time, although it does appear to have passed out of use by the time of the First Edition Ordnance Survey map.
