The visible earthworks do not correspond with any depicted boundary.

Environment Agency, 1998-2014, LiDAR DTM data (1m resolution), LIDAR ST0601 Environment Agency DTM 01-JAN-1998 to 30-SEP-2014 (Cartographic). SDV359177.

Subtle curvilinear and linear banks were visible as subtle earthworks.

Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2016-2018, The Blackdown Hills AONB and East Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV359463.

Curved and linear banks and ditches up to circa 5 metres wide were visible as earthworks to the north-east of Farrantshayes Farm on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014.
One of the visible earthworks corresponded in part with a boundary depicted on the Tithe Map for Clyst Hydon; this boundary has been damaged by the cutting of an extractive pit, recorded separately. The majority of the visible relict banks did not match any boundaries depicted on the 19th century mapping available to the survey, although they are broadly in keeping with the surrounding field pattern as shown on the Tithe Map for Clyst Hydon which has been characterised as potentially of medieval origin.
This supports the interpretation that the subtle relict ditches were evidence of former field boundaries of possible medieval origin that were removed probably from the post-medieval period to early 19th century.
