Possible tree-planting banks of former post-medieval to 19th century orchards are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1948 onwards and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, at Hoemoor Farm. Orchards are partly depicted here on the Parish Tithe map of 1838-48, although by 1948, aerial photographs show that the orchard trees have been completely cleared, leaving a series of parallel northeast to southwest and east to west aligned earthwork banks, on which the fruit trees were established, visible. These banks occupy a combined area of approximately 1.86 hectares of gentle east facing slope, within several adjacent land parcels.
