Earthwork banks of probable post-medieval to 19th century date are visible on aerial photographs of 1948 and digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the southwest of Dennington, Yarcombe. The earthworks, which are northeast to southwest aligned and occupy an area of approximately 0.22 hectares of fairly level land, may represent the remains of agricultural improvement or represent the site of a former orchard, the banks providing improved drainage and increased soil depth for the fruit trees.
