A low curvilinear bank was visible on aerial photographs of the 1990s onwards as an earthwork on the north-west facing slopes north of Chill Pits Lane. The visible earthworks do not correspond with any features depicted on the 19th century maps available to the survey but are in keeping with the character of the surrounding field pattern. They are interpreted as the remains of former field boundary of probable medieval to post-medieval date that passed out of use prior to the late-19th century.
