Site 11: Coal Store approached by a flight of steps from the linhay level. A space circa 10 metres by 5 metres. Along one side are four concrete stanchions 1.5 metre high with a 4 metre high retaining wall behind. Coal was tipped from carts using the access track to the east.
Site 12: Furnace Room divided from the coal store by a granite wall circa 3.4 metres high faces on to the three furnaces. These are constucted in a light coloured refractory brick. The fire doors and associated ironwork have been removed.
Site 13: The heated pan covers an area 30 metres by 5 metres with visible traces of brick flues but the pan tiles which covered these and formed the floor have been removed.
Site 14: Six hatch doors connect the tanks to the east to the 'Pan' and would have been closed by wooden panels. All the hatch doors appear to have been narrowed by the addition of a brick infillon one face.
Site 15: The flues narrow and exit to the chimney stack at the northern end of the 'Pan'. The flue is of granite with a granite lintel over the northern end.
