Cropmark remains of a ridge and furrow field system are visible on aerial photographs (p1). It is possible that this area of cultivation is associated with an area already recorded by the Devon HER, cin 20996; features in that area have been described as 'modern cultivation'. Both areas are within an area described as 'rough ground' in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon. The ridge and furrow has been digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme.
