An oblong mound, 24m x 13m, is visible on aerial photographs (p1) and was digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme. The date and function of this feature are uncertain but it is likely to be the upcast from small-scale quarrying. The feature lies within an area classed as medieval enclosures based on strip fields in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon.
