Summary

Curvilinear cropmark ditches of largely uncertain origin, although tentatively interpreted as defining the western edge of a prehistoric enclosure, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1991, to the northeast of The Barton, North Tawton.

A curved linear feature is visible on aerial photos (p1). It is roughly 80m long, with a 10m break in its length. It is possible that this is the remains of a large curvilinear enclosure. It has been digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme.
