Earthworks of two possible post-medieval or 19th century extractive pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946, to the south of Brushford Barton, Brushford. The northern earthwork corresponds to a pit or pond feature on the Ordnance Survey First Edition 25 inch map and with a pond on the 2018 MasterMap.

The northern-most earthwork corresponds to a pit or pond feature.

Two hollows are visible as low earthworks to the south of Brushford Barton. The location of northernmost is marked on the OS 1st Edition 1:2500 scale map. They are possibly extractive pits or ponds and were digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme.
