Linear features are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (p1) cutting diagonally across two modern fields. They appears to be banked features and are possibly field boundaries predating this extant field system, however they may equally be fairly recent in origin, possibly paths or trackways. These features were digitally plotted during the National Mapping Programme. The features are sited within an area described as post medieval enclosures with medieval elements in the Historic Landscape Characterisation for Devon. These are enclosures probably based on medieval fields but with straight sided field boundaries suggesting substantial reorganisation in the post medieval period.
