Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

Farmstead depicted, comprising the dwelling house with a yard or garden in front and a building adjoining at the west end. The farmyard adjoins to the east, with buildings depicted around the north, west and south sides.

Peach Hayne marked. Comparison with the Tithe Map shows the basic plan of the farmstead to have changed little.

The aerial photo shows a 'new' farmhouse to the south of the original house. This appears to have been demolished and replaced by agricultural buildings. The range along the north side of the yard and the building on the east side of the yard shown on historic mapping appear still extant.
