A series of linear earthwork banks is visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, at Waye Farm, Woodland. The earthworks are northwest to southeast aligned, spaced approximately 7m apart and occupy an area of approximately 0.89 hectares of southeast facing slope. The earthworks correspond with an orchard shown on the Ordnance Survey First Edition 25-inch map. They are interpreted as possible 19th century tree planting banks on which the fruit trees were established for increased soil depth and improved drainage. The orchard is extant on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken between 2015 and 2017, although the trees have been largely thinned out by this time.
