A pale curvilinear cropmark is visible on a single sortie of aerial photographs taken in 1950, having probably formed over a buried ditch up to circa 2.5m wide. It is indistinct in places but appears to enclose a roughly oblong area, perhaps narrower and more pointed at its south end, circa 32 metres long and 10 metres across. Its shape and size suggests that it could be the remains of a prehistoric long barrow or mortuary enclosure, although post-medieval pillow mounds are similar in form and an alternative interpretation cannot be ruled out. It is not visible on any other available aerial images, partly because the area was developed for housing in the second half of the 20th century.
