A small circular earthwork pit, circa 7 metres in diameter, is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946. It resembles a Second Wold War bomb crater, although there is no characteristic cracking or upcast around the edges. It is sited along the line of a former field boundary, in the same location as a tree depicted on the late-19th century OS mapping, and is perhaps more likely to be the remains of a tree throw.
