The western pit is visible as a subtle earthwork.

Ordnance Survey, 2018, MasterMap 2018 (Cartographic). SDV360652.

The eastern pit corresponds with a pond depicted on the OS MasterMap.

Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (Interpretation). SDV361305.

Two irregularly shaped shallow earthwork hollows are visible on aerial photographs of 1946 as earthworks on the north-facing slopes to the south of Hannaford Farm, Kenn. The western earthwork corresponds with a plot depicted as woodland (plot 923) on the Tithe map for Kenn. The eastern hollow corresponds with plot 829, a plot not subject to Tithes, but depicted as rough ground. Field boundaries appear to respect the southern edges of both hollows.
The pits are interpreted as the remains of former extractive pits of post-medieval to 19th century date, subsequently reused as woodland or remaining agriculturally non-productive. This interpretation might be supported by the easternmost pits current reuse as a pond.
