Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (Interpretation). SDV361305.

Slight curvilinear banks, between 7-12m in width, are visible as earthworks on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, to the northeast of Halwell Cross, Denbury and Torbryan. The closely set earthworks are broadly north to south aligned and are parallel to the steep east facing slope of a prominent ridge. Their character and topographical setting supports the interpretation that they represent medieval lynchets, or else possible field boundaries. They do not correspond with any linear features depicted in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map, or on subsequent available historic maps.
