An oval area of vegetation, circa 23m long by 18m wide, is possibly visible as an earthwork mound on digital images derived from oblique aerial photographs taken in 1948, off Battle Road, Bovey Tracey. The possible earthwork is in proximity to Stover Park (MDV56726) to the south which adds some support to the interpretation that it represents a post-medieval or 19th century ornamental tree mound. A cropmark ring ditch to the south (MDV124269) and faint curvilinear vegetation marks to the north (MDV124271) may represent associated ornamental features. The possible earthwork is not visible on other available aerial imagery and the area has been developed for residential housing by 1999.
