A curvilinear earthwork ditch, up to approximately 18 metres wide, is visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2013. It broadly follows the contour, and it is possible that this is a geological feature. However it fits into the field pattern depicted on the 19th century maps that has been characterised as medieval in origin, with its eastern end perhaps joining an extant field boundary. It is not depicted on the Tithe map and is interpreted as a field boundary that went out of use before the mid-19th century.
