Linear hollows, banks or terraces up to circa 3m wide are visible on aerial photographs of 1986 and digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. The visible features do not correspond with any field boundaries depicted on the 19th century maps available to the survey but resemble the remains of former field boundaries recorded to the north (MDV124581). In addition, earthworks immediately downslope of Lower Dawlish Water Road may in part be aligned on key features in extant boundaries. The earthworks are interpreted as probably the remains of field boundaries of medieval origin that were removed prior to circa 1840.
