Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (AI&M) (Interpretation). SDV361305.

Linear ditches, between 15m to 25m wide, are visible as earthworks on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. The three contiguous earthwork ditches are northwest to southeast and northwest to southeast aligned. The eastern earthwork corresponds with a field boundary shown on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map, although the remaining earthworks are not shown and had evidently passed out of use by this time. They are in keeping with the historic field pattern depicted in this location which is characterised as medieval enclosures based on strip fields and are therefore interpreted as relict medieval field boundaries which had largely passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
