Linear and curvilinear earthwork banks are visible as earthworks on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017, defining roughly a rectilinear enclosed area to the East of Southwood Farm, Dawlish. The visible earthworks do not correspond with any boundaries depicted on the Tithe map for Dawlish but are in keeping with the character of the depicted enclosure pattern. The banks are interpreted as field boundaries of possible medieval origin that were removed prior to circa 1840.
