Two irregularly shaped pits, circa 8m and 12m long, are visible as earthworks on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. The visible earthworks do not correspond with any pit features depicted in this location on the available 19th century mapping. The earthworks are interpreted as possible post-medieval or early 19th century extractive pits which had likely passed out of use by the late 19th century.
