Full description
South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments (Cartographic). SDV359954.
The visible cropmarks do not correspond with any boundaries depicted on the Tithe map for Bishopsteignton.

Curvilinear cropmarks of ditches are visible.

Two curvilinear cropmarks of ditches up to circa 3m wide and 130m long are visible on aerial photographs of 1989. The cropmarks do not correspond with any field boundaries depicted on the 19th century maps available to the survey but may be associated with a former boundary depicted in the adjacent field to the north-west. The cropmarks are interpreted as evidence of field boundaries possibly of medieval to 19th century date, cleared prior to circa 1840.
