The visible earthwork does not correspond with any boundary depicted on the Tithe Map for Kingsteignton.

A curvilinear ditch or hollow circa 7m wide and 165m long is visible on imagery derived from lidar data captured between 1998 to 2017. The visible earthwork does not correspond with any boundary depicted on the 19th century maps available to the survey but is in keeping with the character of the surrounding field pattern, characterised by HLC as medieval enclosure based on strip fields. The earthwork is interpreted as a field boundary of probable medieval origin that was removed by circa 1840.
