Parallel earthwork banks, circa 4m wide, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946. The visible banks are closely spaced and are aligned parallel to the contours of the southwest facing combe slope, occupying an area of approximately 0.18 hectares. The banks coincide with an orchard shown on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map which is also shown on the Second Edition Ordnance Survey map of the early 20th century. The presence of an orchard in this location supports the interpretation the earthworks represent possible 19th century tree planting banks, the fruit trees being established on the earthworks for increased soil depth and improved drainage. Several trees of the possible former orchard are visible in 1999-2000, although the eastern extent of the plot has been levelled and partly developed. The earthwork banks are not visible after 1946 and their survival is uncertain.
