Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (Interpretation). SDV361305.

Curvilinear banks and scarps are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017 as earthworks closely following the contours on the west-facing combe slopes to the east of Netherton.
Several of the visible earthworks correspond with field boundaries depicted on the Tithe map for Combeinteignhead, several of which remain extant as field boundaries on the current OS MasterMap base map. A small number of banks or scarps centred at circa SX89277174 do not correspond with any boundaries depicted on the Tithe Map. Two field boundaries centred at circa SX89397143 were cleared in the mid to later 20th century.
The earthworks are interpreted as evidence of strip fields and lynchets of probable medieval date, some of which were probably cleared prior to circa 1840.

Ordnance Survey, 2019, MasterMap 2019 (Cartographic). SDV362729.

Many of the visible earthworks correspond closely with extant field boundaries.
