A very irregular ditch, up to approximately 80 metres wide with irregular edges, is visible as an earthwork and area of uneven ground on aerial photographs taken from 1946 onwards and on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013. It may be one of a number of opencuts for tin working on Roborough Down, or possibly a continuation of MDV34221, probably dating to the late medieval or post-medieval period.
