Land parcel 705 located to the south of the earthwork is recorded as ‘Barrow’.

An oval mound, circa 19m long by 16m wide and situated on the south facing slope of a ridge, is visible as an earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. The earthwork does not correspond with any oval features shown in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map, or on later available historic maps. The morphology of the earthwork closely resembles a Bronze Age barrow. This interpretation is supported somewhat by the field name of land parcel 705 located to the south of the earthwork which is recorded as ‘Barrow’ on the Tithe Map and accompanying Tithe Apportionment. Some caution should, however, be exercised as it is also possible the earthwork is of natural or even modern agricultural origin.
