A rectilinear hollow or terrace circa 100m long and 33m wide is visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017 as an earthwork defined by scarps on the north-west and south-west sides, on the south-east facing slopes between Lutton Farm and Old Road to the south.
The visible earthwork does not correspond with any boundaries depicted on the 19th or early 20th century maps available to the survey and is not apparent as recent landscaping on any aerial photographs of the 1940s onwards.
The earthwork is interpreted as defining the extent of a former field of medieval to post-medieval date that had been removed by 1840.
