A curvilinear ditch, less than 2m wide, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs taken in the 1940’s and on visualisations derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. The earthwork channel closely follows the contours of the northeast facing combe slope and is interpreted as a 19th century water channel, possibly part of a catch meadow irrigation system.
