Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2019-2020, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 2, Avon Valley to Plymouth (AI&M, formerly NMP) (Interpretation). SDV362982.

Sub-oval mounds and a pit, between 10m and 18m long, are visible as earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017. The earthwork pit to the northeast corresponds with a prominent kink in one of the field boundaries in this location on the mid-19th century Parish Tithe Map (MDV126424), suggesting that this earthwork post-dates this probable post-medieval field boundary. The earthwork mounds to the southwest do not, however, correspond with any such features on the available historic maps. Earthworks shown in proximity to the east and labelled as ‘Yeo Quarry (Disused)’ (MDV46573) supports the interpretation that the mounds and pit are possibly associated with post-medieval or 19th century extraction, passing out of use by the mid-19th century.
