Two banks circa 4 to 5m wide and circa 35m and 48m long are identifiable in the plot formerly occupied by Poultry Park Wood as earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2017.
The visible earthworks do not correspond with any features depicted on the 19th century maps available to the survey. The Tithe Map for Plympton St Mary lists this piece of land as Plot 161, Poultry Park Plantation. It is probable that the orchard was established in the 18th or 19th century, possibly
It is possible that the banks predate the establishment of the orchard or, despite the relatively small size of the plot, were made as plantation banks.
