Summary

Former farm building probably dating to the early-mid 19th century. In use as a stable in 1994 when surveyed, it is constructed from granite rubble and includes architectural fragments from the old manor. Modernised and updated in the late 20th century.

Thorp, J. R. L., 1994, Gratton Farm, Meavy, 25, 37-8 (Report - Survey). SDV347822.

Stable dating to the early-mid 19th century. Built from rubble stone and roofed with corrugated iron, it includes a number of large pieces of dressed granite and architectural fragments from the old manor. The arch over the front doorway is made up of reused lengths of 16th or 17th century granite window mullions. See report for full details.
