Name:Feature or hut circle within enclosure south-east of Legis Tor

Summary

Hut circle shown on 19th century map. Recorded by Gerrard (1993) as a hut circle and recorded in 2005 survey as a sub-circular cleared area measuring 6.4 metres north-west to south-east by 3.9 metres internally. A possible entrance lies in the south-east. This feature incorporates part of the enclosure wall and would appear to be of later construction. Two small and very crude enclosures lie to the west of this feature and also appear to be later in origin to the bulk of this site.

(22/02/1993) Hut A is of the simple plan and double orthostat walling type. The interior of the building measures 4m in diameter and is surrounded by a 1.8m wide and 0.5m high wall. This structure is attached to the enclosure boundary.
