Numerous curvilinear ditches are visible on aerial photographs of 1946 as very subtle roughly parallel earthworks, up to circa 2m wide and from circa 40 to 580m long, closely following the contours of the south facing combe from the north-west to south-west of Torpeek Farm.
The ditches are interpreted as the remains of a catch meadow of probable post-medieval to 19th century date.
Two of the visible ditches correspond, at least in part, with channels depicted on the Ordnance Survey 1880s First Edition 25inch map, one to the north of the farm track and one to the south.
It is possible that the catch meadow had passed out of use by the mid to late-9th century with some elements remaining in use as leats or aqueducts.
The ditches are not identifiable as earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2013 and have probably been levelled.
