Summary

Two truncated prehistoric enclosures to the east of the track in the Erme Valley below Stalldown. To the east of the track two attached D-shaped enclosures have been truncated by the track and an underground pipeline. The smaller enclosure of 0.013 hectares preceded the construction of the larger enclosure of 0.15 hectares which is attached to it at one end. The walls comprise spread turf-covered banks of up to 3 metres widewhich include some large stones still visible. A large hut circle is built against the northern end of the larger enclosure.

At SX 6400 6142 is an enclosure, 45 metres by about 40 metres which has been partly destroyed by the modern track. It has lynchetted walls, 1.4 metres wide,
built of large boulders and is in very poor condition. A small
yar 20 metres by 10 metres with an orthostatic wall 1.0 metre wide has been attached
to the west side. A probable Type 2 hut circle is at the north-
east extremity of the enclosure. It has an internal diameter of 7.0m and a wall 1.3m wide, levelled into the hill side. It lies
on the wall line, which it possibly predates. At

SX 639261 an oval enclosure measuring 30 metres by 20 metres with a wall,
metre wide, built of small boulders and in very poor condition.
