A number of curvilinear earthwork ditches, approximately one metre wide, are visible on aerial photographs taken from 1945 onwards. They broadly follow the contour along both sides of the valley south of Buckland Park and are interpreted as the gutters of a post-medieval or 19th century catchmeadow. They do not correspond with any features depicted on the available historic maps and any catchmeadow here presumably fell out of use by the late-19th century.
