Summary
A field boundary of probable post-medieval date is visible on aerial photographs of 1946 as an earthwork bank on the north-west facing slopes of the Lud Brook valley south-west of Lower Ludbrook Cottages. The bank is not identifiable as an earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2019 and has probably been levelled.

The visible earthwork does not correspond with any pit depicted on the Tithe Map for Ermington.

A linear bank is visible as an earthwork.

A south-west to north-east aligned bank circa 3.5m wide and 104m long is visible on aerial photographs of 1946 as an earthwork bank on the north-west facing slopes of the Lud Brook valley.
The visible earthwork does not correspond with any pit depicted on the Tithe Map for Ermington but is in keeping with the character of the surrounding regular post-medieval field pattern.
The bank is interpreted as a field boundary of post-medieval date that was removed from use prior to the 1840s.
The bank is not identifiable as an earthwork on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2019 and has probably been levelled.
