Broad linear and curvilinear banks and narrow curvilinear ditches are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken from 1946 onwards and on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2019. The earthworks occupy an area of circa 1.45 hectares of floodplain of the River Avon. They comprise a series of closely spaced and parallel north to south banks, between 5m and 18m wide, with incised channels, less than 2m wide, visible along the tops of, and mostly parallel with, the banks. The character of the earthworks supports the interpretation that they represent the ridges and carrier channels of a 19th century valley bottom bedwork irrigation system. It does not correspond with any features on the late-19th century First Edition Ordnance Survey map, suggesting that it had passed out of use by this time.
