A possible ditch is visible as a cropmark circa 2.5m wide and 64m long on the south-facing combe slopes south of Witchcombe on digital images derived from aerial photographs of 2018.
The cropmark closely follows the contours of the slope and is not in keeping with the character of the surrounding field pattern, which is probably derived from strip fields that mostly cross the contours.
The cropmark might be evidence of a former boundary of medieval to post-medieval date but is more likely to be geological in origin.
